How to Install a Ford Transit Innie Pocket Sleeper Trim Ring | Installation Guide
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Overview
This guide covers installing GoCode's Innie Pocket Sleeper pair in a Ford Transit: tracing the included template off the factory inserts, cutting the wall, and dropping the sleeper pods into place for an east-west bed with no exterior flares or capsules.
Before You Start
Vehicle: Ford Transit
Kit: GoCode Ford Transit Innie Sleeper Pair
Mounting location: Rear side walls, driver and passenger side
Estimated installation time: 1-4 hrs (time dependent on wall panels)
Tools & Materials
Included paper template
Measuring tape
Marker or pencil
Vibrating (oscillating) saw (recommended for safety); a modified jigsaw blade also works
Installation Instructions
Cut out your paper template. Cut the small sections along the template's line.
Trace your pattern. Using the factory 8mm inserts as your reference points, trace the pattern onto your van's wall, then connect the dots with a ruler.
Cut the opening. Cut away the wall, being careful not to cut too deep — a vibrating (oscillating) saw is the safer choice, though a modified jigsaw blade works too.
Install the sleeper pods. Set the Innie Pocket Sleeper into the cutout on each side; you'll have sideways sleeping space instantly.
