How to Install the GoCode ETON Front Sound Upgrade for Ram ProMaster | Installation Guide

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Overview

The ETON ProMaster Front Sound Upgrade kit swaps out the factory front door speakers and dash tweeters for a plug-and-play upgrade, no amp, cutting, or rewiring required. This guide covers popping the door speaker cover, swapping the woofer, then pulling the A-pillars to swap in the upgraded tweeters.

Before You Start

  • Vehicle: Dodge Ram ProMaster (2014+). Also fits Fiat Ducato III, Peugeot Boxer II, Citroen Jumper II, and Opel Movano, which share the same platform

  • Kit: GoCode ETON Front Sound Upgrade for Ram ProMaster

  • Mounting location: Front doors and dash/pillar tweeter housings, driver and passenger side

  • Estimated installation time: 0.5-1 hr

Tools & Materials

  • 10mm socket (for the tweeter panel mounting nuts)

  • Screwdriver or bit (for the three door speaker mounting screws) [TK — exact size/type not confirmed in source video]

  • Panel pry tool, for popping off the door speaker cover

  • What's included: 2 x 6.5" ETON woofers, 2 x 25mm fabric dome tweeters with vehicle-specific mounts and connectors, cable crossover with level adjustment, angled tweeter mounting housings, mounting hardware, plastic lever installation tool, printed instructions

Installation Instructions

  1. Remove the door speaker cover. Pry the plastic cover off the factory door speaker. It comes off easily by hand.

  2. Unscrew the factory speaker. Remove the three mounting screws holding the factory speaker in place.

  3. Swap the speaker. Disconnect the factory speaker's wiring connector, connect the new ETON woofer's connector, and set it into the factory mounting holes.

  4. Secure and close up. Reinstall the three mounting screws and snap the cover back into place.

  5. Access the tweeter panel. Using a 10mm socket, remove the nuts securing the A-pillar panel that houses the factory tweeter, then pull the panel free. Removing the door weather stripping and pulling the pillar cover away from the glass is ideal for reinstalling the cover.

  6. Swap the tweeter. Disconnect the factory tweeter's wiring connector, release the plastic retaining clips, and pull the factory tweeter out of its housing.

  7. Install the new tweeter. Pop the ETON tweeter into the same housing, reconnect the wiring, and reinstall the pillar cover with the 10mm nuts.

  8. Repeat on the opposite side. Mirror steps 1-7 for the passenger side woofer and tweeter.

OPTIONAL:With the door speakers removed, now is a good time to install sound deadening mat behind the speaker directly on to the door sheet metal. This will yield a tighter bass response and reduce rattling.
