How to Install a Sprinter Full Interior Trim Kit | Complete Install Guide

Overview

Install a complete Sprinter interior trim kit in 3–4 hours using self-tapping screws, rivnuts, and bolts. The kit covers B-pillars, C-pillars, D-pillars, and slider door thresholds. Locate your mounting points, position trim pieces behind the headliner, secure with fasteners, adjust weatherstripping, and your Sprinter gets a finished interior look that protects walls from impacts and adds polished aesthetics.

Before You Start

  • Vehicle: Mercedes Sprinter

  • Kit: Sprinter Front & Rear Trim Kits (B-Pillar, C-Pillar, D-Pillar, Slider Door Threshold)

  • Mounting location: Multiple interior pillar locations

  • Estimated installation time: 3–4 hours

Tools & Materials

  • #2 Phillips Screwdriver

  • 23/64" Drill Bit

  • 5/32" Allen Wrench

    5mm Allen Wrench

  • Drill

  • Primer (rivnut/adhesion primer)

  • Rivnut Gun

  • M8 bolts, 1/4-20 rivnuts, 1/4-20 bolts, truss screws, and Loctite (included with the kit)

Installation Instructions

  1. B-Pillar Driver Installation
    Seat the shoulder into the B column. Position the flange behind the headliner, then secure with 1" self-tapping screws into the vertical surface of the headliner ceiling strut.

  2. B-Pillar Passenger Installation
    Seat the shoulder into the B column. Position the flange behind the headliner. Use your finger or a plastic tool to adjust the weatherstripping. Secure with 1" self-tapping screws into the vertical surface of the headliner ceiling strut.

  3. Slider Door Threshold Installation
    Fasten with at least three 1" self-tapping screws into the vertical wall of the ceiling struts.

  4. C-Pillar Trim Installation
    Mount the trim over the C column, positioned above the factory trim. Use your finger or a plastic tool to adjust the weatherstripping. Secure with 1" self-tapping screws into the wall-mounting flange.

  5. D-Pillar Trim Installation (Rear Door Threshold)
    Dry fit the trim in place. Identify and drill out (23/64" drill bit) the factory holes that align with the plastic trim pieces. Prime the drilled-out holes. Install all eight 1/4-20 rivnuts. Install the overhead trim using the 1/4-20" bolts. Install the vertical trim using the 1/4-20" bolts and M8 bolts (use M8 bolts for the two center factory-threaded holes, and the remaining 1/4-20 bolts into the installed rivnuts). Tighten all fasteners securely.

    *Use provided Loctite on all installed bolts
