How to Install a Pressure Fill Inlet (City Water Port) | Install Guide

Overview
A pressure fill inlet lets you top off your fresh tank from a campground spigot or hose bib at full city-water pressure, instead of gravity-feeding through a deck fill. This guide covers mounting GoCode's Pressure Fill Port through the wall and servicing its built-in check valve.
Before You Start
Application: Any van, RV, or marine build with a wall or panel to mount through

Mounting location: Wall or panel, or wherever you want your city water hookup

What's included: City water inlet body assembly, rubber gasket & metal gasket, rubber washers/O-rings, back-plate mounting screws, check valve (installed) & strainer, retaining ring, metal crochet hook
Installation Instructions
Pass the inlet through the wall. Feed the city water inlet shank through your wall mounting hole, then place the rubber gasket and metal gasket in sequence.
Snug the nut. Tighten the nut until the water inlet is snug without shaking, then tighten the two auxiliary screws.
Secure the back plate. Tighten the three screws on the back plate of the city water inlet flange.
Connect your plumbing. The inlet side is female 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread); the outlet side is male 1/2" NPT.
The inlet ships with a check valve, rubber gasket, and strainer already installed and ready to use.
Replacing the Check Valve
Remove the retaining ring. Use the included metal crochet hook to pull out the white retaining ring.
Pull the old check valve. Remove the non-working check valve.
Insert the new check valve. Pay attention to direction — the front and bottom aren't interchangeable. The front must face outward for the check valve to work properly.
Reinstall the retaining ring. Snap the raised part of the retaining ring into the groove, then press the other end inward into the groove to lock it back into place.
